Having always been interested in the human body and the way it works, Gaia began her journey with the study of Swedish massage. She attended the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts and was awarded her massage therapy diploma in 1997. Fresh out of school, she opened a successful practice.
Gaia soon realized that massage and just working the tissue was not enough, so she began to search for more tools to gain access to the holistic being, the body and mind. She studied systems including La Stone Therapy, Crystal Light Therapy, Integrated Energy Therapy, Reiki, Marconic Energy Healing, Ortho-Bionomy and Thai massage.
I’m Marissa Talarico, a sex positive therapist who believes in the power of human connections and strive to create a caring, non-judgmental environment where everyone feels comfortable to express themselves. I have found that using a straightforward approach helps many couples, individuals, and families identify their greatest challenge, and gain the courage to find alternative strategies to move past it. I have had many previous clients, friends, family and co-workers tell me that my straight-forward approach demonstrates care and depth in my relationships.
I view the therapeutic process through a systemic lens. What this means to you as a client, is that I will consider all context into what we talk about, and together, we will be guided by our past journey, to understand our future goals. I strive to help you find your ideal balance, in your life, relationships, and future goals. I understand that we don’t often just have one important thing to talk about, or one hurt. I will collaborate with you to gain understanding to your true self, so you can see yourself as the person you want to be!
Hello, thanks for visiting my site. My name is Jason, my friends call me Stretch. I live and work somewhere in the vast toolies of the Inland Northwest. I began my career (which evolved into a borderline obsession) with woodworking way back in the nineteen hundred nineties.
I worked for a company consisting of a roving band of misfits whose task was to install hardwood flooring, large scale. NBA, College and High School gymnasiums, (mostly the latter) and a random health center thrown in for good measure. Northern California to Canada, The Pacific Coast to the Dakotas. That was our realm. This was a well paying, heavily intoxicating 6 year road trip. I worked my way up from monkey to foreman, and decided there must be something else to be done with this skillset other than flooring giant rectangles.
So, I struck out on my own, quasi-successfully at first. I learned some wicked mortice and tenon post and beam construction techniques and stumbled along for a bit. Then one day a friend who has been a bonafide wood-ninja since the year I was born showed me some purple heart strips that he’d inlayed into a maple floor in an exquisitely simple art deco fashion, and that was it! Oh, that’s the fusion of art and functionality, a good pairing of the skills I’d acquired at that point in my life.
So that started the whole deal, I’ve inlayed all manner of things into hard wood floors, compass roses, a rose, mountain scenes, glass tiles. All but the latter comprised of exotic and domestic hardwoods. No stains, no dyes, all natural tones and grain structure. That story brings us here.
At some point the projects became a bit complicated to walk on. I began to create pieces of such detail that I had to admit, they might not last structurally. However, I quite enjoy the challenge of ever-increasing complexity so I started creating stand-alone wall art. I can reproduce almost anything someone can come up with.
A good portion of the pieces here are commission work, where someone presented an idea, flower species or picture and gave me free reign to design and manufacture said piece. Well there you have it, peruse at will, feel free to contact me for questions or pricing.
